CLP pre-selects Steve Brown for Araluen
With all due respect for Steve Brown as a committed resident of Alice Springs and for putting his hand up for the CLP in Araluen, for my money it’s Robyn Lambley. I will be voting accordingly.
Robyn is a good local member and is no less a conservative politician than is Steve.
She now sits and will stand as an Independent because she could no longer cop the deceit and misogyny permeating the Giles government.

Erwin: Just to confirm, but has Dave Tollner not been pre-selected for any seat in the coming NT election?

Is Adam Giles making a bid for top land council job?
What happened to David Ross? Or is his a different title?
Anyway, if Adam Giles ends up on the board of CLC, this would probably give him some access to Centrecorp. So I have a question: Does Centrecorp pay rates to the Alice Springs Town Council?
Just asking.

NT Govt persists with push for Anzac Oval ownership
@ Ms Moss: Doris Stuart and Harold Furber, recognised senior voices in Alice Springs, have said they would like a cultural centre in a culturally appropriate setting, but the Anzac site is not suitable. The ASTC has voted unanimously not to accept your offer to “transition the ownership” (!) of Anzac Oval to you.
And you still want to transition that ownership?
This is becoming bizarre.

Council shoots Anzac precinct gallery down in flames
Thank you.

Anzac Oval: hand it over, says NT Government
So much for those wanting a seat at the table. Looks like pretty thin fare to me.
This raises another question. Every move CM Gunner has made on this issue has been to dictate divisive non-options. We know the NT Government is heavily in debt and probably lacks the funds to build this gallery. So has that been his plan all along? Has he intentionally queered it to get out of an election promise and push the onus of its failure onto the ASTC?

Alcohol floor price may breach Australian Constitution
It is a source of continuing amazement that any attempt to rein in our use of alcohol is met with obstruction and derision.
