Comment on CDU oval a public place no longer by James T Smerk.

The actions of a few affect the majority.
Let’s not fix the problem and penalize the trouble makers better, no lets hurt the community and families who enjoyed the oval.
In a society that promotes kids being active and getting out and playing this is going backwards and making the town into a mini jail! Just stay inside kids, everywhere else is fenced off.
Just look down any suburban street at the fences, six foot go away fences. Gone are the welcoming and nice looking knee high fences we all had.

Aboriginal flag on Anzac Hill: the nays have itĀ
Why not wack a big Aboriginal Flag on another hill or even a huge one on the Mountain. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, we are all one. There were many nationalities that fought under our flag and this monument celebrates them all!
Adding more flags will just encourage the divide to grow, we need to come together as one.

Bottle shop cops may not like it, but are needed
Dear Australian Hotels Association,
You seem to be of the belief your members are paying something out of their responsibilities as a business.
They pay what they have to in taxes! Don’t try and pass it off as an extra on top of what they are required to pay.
Best not to compare yourself to healthcare either as they help deal with the issues, while alcohol shops cause more trouble than good.
They should be supplying their own security and calling the cops if something happens.

Let’s have an Australia Day when we are ready for it
@ Laughing: Very interesting. Any comment, Jimmy?

Congress call: Put full-time police back at bottle-shops

Councillor Satour threatened at Council meeting
‘Interested’ is Correct.

But hey threats are a part of our town. Most people have walked through town and been threatened for no reason at all.
