The Territory has along history of mines etc making a mess, then claiming they went bust and yep, you guessed it, after years of abandoned contamination the cleanup falls on the public purse.

And if it “failed to commercialize” then one could assume that the Territory people, through government expenditure, would again be paying to clean up the mess as has happened more than once in the mining industry.

This still does not excuse the NTG not funding these smaller projects when they are doing good instead preferring to spend millions on more dubious projects.

It is a pity the legal expense and energy could not have been used to assist some ordinary Australians with complex legal situations.
