Comment on Gunner re-opens the Rivers of Grog floodgates by Chris2.

What, good unarmed basically trained security guards with no more power than Joe citizen hovering about the interior of a grog outlet? I doubt the outcome at the Gap where a good man got his jaw broken requiring re construction in Darwin would have been any different.
Seems to me if the police don’t like the idea of being a visible deterrent out front of the former declared precincts then they need an attitude adjustment instilled from the top.
Oh, that’s right, Gunner is at the top. Gunner, who promised nothing would change when he re-introduced the totally useless banned drinkers register.
Cops at the shops would remain. But he was a clever little fast talking pollie, somewhere in that machine gun diatribe was the qualification “over the Christmas period”.
Now any of us that live anywhere near a grog shop see the consequences.

Advisors and bureaucrats should be named salaries and perks listed.
There should be a synopsis published, for public comment, of advice given to the inadequate politicians incapable of original thought.
Wouldn’t that be nice. We are the malcontents led by idiots taking advice from agenda driven morons. Merry Christmas.

Mr Gunner crowed he was the man that wanted to lead us to statehood.
Realistically he may be the man that takes us back to Federal control.
What a mess, three down and how many more to go.
Enjoy your hiking in the New Zealand alps Sir, keep the sat phone battery charged while Rome smoulders.

Taxi seized after taking liquor to dry area
Money money! Probably why you can wait for hours for a cab at around opening time and after three phone calls to ask where is the cab you are told “sorry not our fault the driver reported that you were not there”.
But I was there. Might of been compounded by the fact that I wanted to pay by card. Big mistake. Alice Taxis. Mmmm.

One house break-in, four cars stolen
“The 22-year-old man was charged with one count of aggravated assault and received bail.”
The last three words say it all!

Lambley says Gunner won’t discuss rising crime
When will Mr Gunner face up to the concerns of thousands of Alice residents who live in a lock down world?
Does he wake every morning to coffee in a mug handed to him by spin merchants and toast buttered by highly paid advisors soothing the concerns of decent people and suggesting steady as she goes?
What we have are occasional mumblings from a man with no answers to our nightmare. Step up or resign.
