The absolute stupidity of this Gunner Government is breathtaking.
Clearly they have no regard for the honest hard working people of this town. 12 random residential properties are you kidding me?
Surely the total spent could have partially funded a dedicated care facility. Will these properties be next to a Gunner, Wakefield or Moss residence?
You can bet your last dollar they won’t. Gunner and his politically correct advisors are taking this town to a place that it will be hard to recover from.
It’s time these highly paid advisors coat pullers and left wing urgers were named and held accountable.

Wards for Alice council, including one for town camps?
I am a strong supporter of wards. How nice to have an alderman as a first go to for street by street issues.
The generic group we have now are somewhat impotent when it comes to on the ground residents issues. Make them earn their allowance or move on.

Councillor passes buck to staff
Alex Hope makes an excellent point in relation to wards. Instead of using council as platform for personal agendas and political ideals the collective elected members should be working for us and our street by street issues.

Boundless possible welcome to Alice for Gunner?
Not good enough Mr Gunner. A quick visit shrouded by minders and security.
Set up a soap box on the casino lawn with a microphone and advertise the event so the concerned citizens of this town may politely question why we are in such deep manure.
But you won’t, will you. At least your mentor and former boss had the decency to stand there in shock before she faded away into obscurity.
Oh that’s right, you gave her a top job with Team NT.
How’s that going?

Fire management inadequate to non-existent: ALEC
The West MacDonnell Ranges are in focus right now. But the awaiting disaster in the East MacDonnell Ranges is very real.
The Arltunga Historical Reserve is choked with buffel. Where once spinifex clumped without being greedy of ground, now buffel wants it all.
Walking tracks and vehicle tracks invaded by this land thief.
As a regular visitor to the area for the last 20 years I have observed a slow but complete change of the landscape. An invasion.
Interestingly, funds were allocated for the eradication of Athel Pine around the old mission 10 years ago but nothing for buffel.
The Athel Pine planted by the brothers did no more than provide shade and while introduced had little chance of spreading in that arid area.
Bureaucrats, greenies and agendas. Where do we go from here?
