Alice students fire up for climate action
Anyone care for the Earth? I do.
And I’m thankful that young people are leading the charge for others to do the same.
It wasn’t just young people: “Some 200 of their peers (students) filled the lawns outside Flynn Church in the mall, supported by 300 to 400 adults.”

Anzac or Desert Park: More Qs than As
I note that the SA Liberals had an election placard that proposed a National Aboriginal Culture and Arts space on the old Royal Adelaide Hospital site. Might that have some impact on these two proposals … if it is serious?

Experience Aboriginal culture in the heart of the CBD
Wonderful to hear about this language project. Well done.

No-brainer # 2
I totally agree with the senseless carnage of the trees. I saw it on Friday.
Firies (or someone) obviously had been there and put the perimeter fire out and left the grass burning in the midst, lapping the trees.
My hope was that being a reasonably cool fire, that they would be OK.
I nearly rang and got them to come back but was hopeful all would be well.
Over the weekend the fire got into the trees one by one and lay them flat.
It’s a law not to cut trees down, even pick up branches from the river, but seems burning a forest is OK.
I am keenly awaiting the response from your request for an explanation.

Boardwalk now a permanent blight on the landscape
In the meantime, the pedestrian and cycle path through Heavitree Gap offers no protection to pedestrians and cyclists from cars, buses, road trains and whirling winds … a fatality just waiting to happen.
