Alice’s Ben Slip to play at Sydney Blues n Roots fest

Alice Springs musician Ben Slip The Slipsta will perform at the Sydney Blues n Roots Festival on October 27.
He will be part of a big line-up of prominent musicians, including Johnny Diesel (formerly with the Injectors), Russell Morris and Ash Grunwald.
Born and bred in Alice, Ben lit his musical fire playing the pubs and festivals, says his web CV, recording at his home and professional studios.
“My lyrics are a story across life, living my dream and current world issues,” he says.
He’ll present a combination of “Groovy acoustic guitar, Telecaster Licks, vocals and drum beats, base guitar and keys.
“The magic of my day is composing and recording my songs with happening melodies, lyrics, grunge n beats.
“In my live show I play my acoustic lefty and telecaster guitars with my backing band in a box.”

Way to go Ben! Really enjoyed hangin with you during the recent Music NT workshop here in the Alice. And, enjoy listening to your kickin original songs – sharing that central Australian perspective on life! Looking forward to seeing you perform at the “jam” and hearing all about the Sydney Blue’s and Roots gig!
