Police seek man in relation to an indecent assault

Police have released this comfit of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the indecent assault of a 24-year-old woman.
 
Detective Superintendent Brent Warren said the woman was walking along Kempe Street at around 6:30am on Saturday, September 14 when she was indecently assaulted by the alleged offender.
 
“He is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, between 20-30 years old, medium build, approximately 175cm tall with wavy black hair.
 
“He was wearing a dark blue T-shirt with white coloured writing, dark blue jeans with a rip on the right knee and skate shoes (possibly Converse or Vans).
 
“Police urge anyone who may recognise this man or who may have witnessed this incident, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
 
Meanwhile police are also searching for a male who assaulted a 19-year-old girl as she was walking to work just after noon today.
 
The assault took place behind the post office in the Alice Springs CBD at approximately 12.20pm.
 
The offender is described as an Aboriginal male, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, medium build, approximately 190cms tall, very dirty appearance wearing a black or brown shirt and dark pants.
 
The offender is not known to the victim.
 
UPDATE 2.15pm Friday: A man who is suspected to have attacked the 19-year-old has been arrested.
