Alice Plaza mural completed

p2135-Plaza-Namatjira-mural

The mural in the Alice Plaza shopping mall was completed today.

Showing the Gap, the entrance to The Alice, it is a collaborative work with several artists including Lenie Namatjira (left) contributing to the painting after an original watercolour by Peter Taylor (right). It shows the landmark as Mr Taylor remembers it from his youth.

The official opening will be performed by Chief Minister Adam Giles on September 5.

Well done to the two people involved and well done to the Plaza for taking on this great masterpiece in their complex … a pleasure to see.
