p2047rexmooney-SMSir – Meredith Campbell has been appointed to the prestigious role of the Alice Springs Town Crier.

Her appointment is especially exciting as she is our first female town crier.

With her depth of knowledge and affinity for Alice Springs, Meredith is passionate about the role, looking forward to singing the praises of her beloved Alice Springs.

Meredith Campbell is a familiar face at council, having been an Alderman on the 8th Council serving a part term from March 1997 to May 2000 and again on the 10th Council from September 2005 to March 2008.

Ms Campbell is a long term local who is very much looking forward to participating in events as the community’s Town Crier.
