Rupert broke?

p2229-Walcott-Phil-2LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Sir – In Darwin this past week, I bought a copy of Tuesday’s Centralian Advocate from the newsagent on Smith Street Mall.

The cost was $1.30 (instead of $1.10 that I pay when buying it in Alice Springs after it has been shipped here overnight).

Given that the paper is now printed in Darwin, why is NTN still charging a “freight” levy? Rupert can’t be THAT broke … we deserve better.

  1. They didn’t publish the letter but Michael Gorey rang me to explain that he’s “sorted” the issue. I look forward to paying the “freight-free” price when I go back up in February.
