Government silent on unsupervised street kids in its care
Tony, I can understand that carers must not be out of pocket, but could we have a better understanding / breakdown of what can be the needs of the child for this amount of money? Of course minus the salary of the carer.

$995.85 per child per week!
How any mothers would love to be able to stay home caring for their children for even less money?

2020 poll: Can Territory Alliance be a political force?

Chance for NT Government to get cracking on fires
Yes Erwin, and I read it with a great interest, but it was mainly for the countryside.
What also concern me is the town and suburbs.
Some yards are a fire hazard and not every street has fire hydrants and those cannot be used if the services are out of town.

Chance for NT Government to get cracking on fires
As fires continue to burn across the states of Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania the time has come for our so called leaders to prepare for the same eventuality.
Do we have an emergency plan? Could council workers take notice of the residential gardens which could be a fire hazard not only for themselves and their neighbours in the same manner that they clear / cut trees hanging over a fence because it supposedly a danger for pedestrians?
The fire and rescue services will not be able to cope with bushfires and town fires.

[ED – We reported recently about the about the NT Government’s inadequate preparedness.]

Street kids: What cops can do
End of year is the time for parties! I suggest to parents of all creeds, skin colour and social statute, do not to look for a baby sitter for your children if they want to go out. Let them loose in the Mall.
Assistant Commissioner Narelle Beer and Dale Wakefield will take care of them while you have great time.

CLP candidate Mayor puts demands to Labor CM
Mr Gunner and Mr Ryan, stop acting like kids in the school ground. Forget your political parties and work together for the safety of us. Crooks, hooligans, law breakers have no allegiance and target anyone, anytime, anywhere.
