Just a FYI from the Peter McLisky website:-

“The laser-cut rabbits that grabbed our attention come in either a rusted finish or can be powder coated and are available in either 600mm [2 feet] or 3 meters [10 feet] tall. They come with either a rectangular base or a solid “shadow” and prices range between AU$180 and AU$3,400.”

One wonders what the cost was to the NT Government for this sculpture. Surely something with an indigeneous theme or a combination of indigeneous and non-indigenous Alice Springs/Central Australian culture would have been more appropriate IMHO.

Drunk driver had 11 people in his car
I posted a reply to a traffic violation on Facebook and got roasted.
No public transport in that area, we all did it, and a FFS.
As someone who lost a brother to a road accident 33 years ago as of 3rd July, and who is old enough to remember no seat belts, no baby capsules, no .05 these replies are so disturbing.
Road safety adverts don’t seem to be reaching those who need the messages the most.

Cops at bottle shops: expensive bluff?
Perhaps a correlation between costs of POSI and the costs associated with hospital admissions, law enforcement issues would clarify matters better.
And maybe a survey on who gets asked why, when, where in regard to liquour sales would answer the points brought up in this article.
Oh and while you are assessing all of the above, maybe morning and evening attendances at the local watering holes should be looked at, like who gets asked why they are drinking at 10am, why they are in these places everyday and night?
Perhaps then the POSI might make sense to those who believe it is a waste of time, resources and money.
