Comment on CDU oval a public place no longer by James T Smerk.

The actions of a few affect the majority.
Let’s not fix the problem and penalize the trouble makers better, no lets hurt the community and families who enjoyed the oval.
In a society that promotes kids being active and getting out and playing this is going backwards and making the town into a mini jail! Just stay inside kids, everywhere else is fenced off.
Just look down any suburban street at the fences, six foot go away fences. Gone are the welcoming and nice looking knee high fences we all had.

Council says ‘no’ to government gallery offer
Yes, everyone keep talking about this thing that will never happen.
Why aren’t we coming up with alternative ventures for the Government to build?
They have been promising this for far too long while doing nothing else (big project wise) for the town.
Stop following their carrot and make them give us something else!

Online hate speech by leading tourism figure
We are focusing on the wrong thing here. Someone is angry that someone else is breaking the law and constantly getting away with it. I would be angry too and wouldn’t hold back from swearing. Let’s get angry at the criminals and not the victims.

Aboriginal flag to fly year round on Anzac Hill
Wow a slap in the face for TSI people, you mob we don’t care about apparently. Pity they don’t have a voice as loud as others.

‘Voter apathy greatest threat to Territory democracy’
It’s great everyone having a vote. The trouble is when the vote is coming from someone who is uninformed and simply votes based on what they have been told by old mate ‘Fred’ which might or might not be based on facts.
Would be good to have unbiased forums and information sessions held in communities pointing out the differences on who you are voting for.
And not a system where they vote who they are told to by old mate who tells them how to vote at the front door.
