Comment on Unpredictable, unaligned and undaunted: Cr Eli Melky by Eli Melky.

Steve I hope and pray that your health improves and you have a long lasting and comfortable life.
I am sorry that you were unable to contest this year’s local election.
Perhaps with better health you may be good for the next one.
I do take offence however at your comments here and also on a FaceBook particularly as you have insisted on placing me at the bottom.
Your comments are really unpleasant.
The election is over and it seems thank goodness not many people listened to you.

Wards for Alice council, including one for town camps?
Thank you Alex Nelson, I wasn’t aware of that, although my suggestion to highlight five Wards didn’t specifically identify Rural. You can be assured they were not overlooked.
Given the discussion is in its early stage, I have not had the opportunity to outline in detail the proposal.
I will take this opportunity however to outline one specific detail regarding the Rural areas.
The Ward most likely to represent Rural area in my plan would be Araluen.
Councillors have 12 months to submit a proposal and it would be great to have all your opinions.
My main reason for increasing it back up to 10 Councillors is to ensure we have representation from residents of the Town Camps.
Some have already argued that it is insulting to the existing Councillors to have even suggested this proposal, indicating that the current eight have adequately represent all of Alice Springs including Town Camps.
To that individual elected member who made that statement, my response is, can you name five issues regarding town camps that have been raised by a councillor / alderman over the past 10 years?
I don’t believe it is insulting to have a discussion, particularly when you are requested to by the Elcectoral Commisssion or NT Government.
Moreover there is a growing concern that when more than two elected members are not able to attend council meeting for a variety of legitimate reasons, it becomes challenging.
Such was the case in the 12th Council when we were unable to find a quorum.
Most recently we have been reduced to a regular six in the chamber for the above mentioned reasons. Time to be inclusive.

‘Cannibalising’ Vowles is childish, says CLP
The failure and bad decision making by an out of sort ALP should not be seen as CLP success. You still have to earn it.
This time Territorians are not just going to hand it to you by default just because you happen to be a challenger.
Time for change does not always mean go back and appoint a previously failed group.
Bad way to do business.
Territorians will be demanding a new political party made up of qualified, capable people with experienced corporate and community leadership experience.

Vowles, McConnell and Collins dumped from Caucus
Well all I can say is, CM, don’t let the door hit you on your way out.
Congratulations, you have well and Truly trumped the previous CLP Government on their inability to lead Territorians. Well done.

Gunner not the best Chief Minister we can have: McConnell
The ALP have successfully surpassed previous CLP government successes.
That is to say they are now well on track to be a one term administration.
Whoever thought it was a good idea to attack three members of your caucus should have their advisors badge suspended.
The challenge remains who will stand up for Territorians?
If we must have a political party, surely we can come up with better than the previously sacked CLP.

Suddenly everyone is talking about 1Territory
The ALP have successfully surpassed Previous CLP Gov successes.
That is to say they are now well on track to be sacked in 2020. The challenge remains whom will Territorians appoint to lead them out the s#@t?
Surely not the previously sacked CLP.
