Comment on No youth detention facilities in residential areas: MLAs by James T Smerk.

Watch’n: It’s because unlike school kids, these kids have probably never been to school or dropped out when they were very young as their parents neglected to make schooling mandatory.
They don’t have respect for anyone or anything and are constantly looking to break things or intimidate people, as they have most likely had a poor upbringing regarding social interaction and lacked loving parents.
Unfortunately this government doesn’t want any form of labels being stuck to them so they are more likely to do nothing. I have heard the courts are choosing not to send kids to detention because it’s “broken” and they can’t manage the kids there so they are just smacking them on the wrist and setting them free. Except for the really bad ones who start riots.
The fact is, yes, these are kids but you still need to be firm with them and have protection for their minders to restrain them when the need arrives.
And yes, if these were my kids trying to self-harm by head-butting the wall and spitting at guards then I would want them strapped in with a spit mask.
Harden up Government, the people want action now!

Government millions spent outside tender process
While I wouldn’t have a clue about this kind of stuff, I would wager just about all builders in this town who could do this kind of work all live in nice big house and own 80k cars.
Show me a builder that isn’t well off and I’ll show you a builder who doesn’t live in Alice Springs.

Aggravated assault in Alice hospital
Erwin, the answer to that question is yes, some can, but there is also a large amount who cannot.
But it’s easier for some to ignore facts and results we see in the media and keep forking out barrels of money just so a minority don’t call them names for trying to save a dying culture from its own hands.
People might start mislabelling your actions as stolen generation, instead of what they should be called saving generations.

Young thugs assault two men for cigarettes
Didn’t these two know there was a curfew for law-abiding citizens, they aren’t allowed out of their home after 9pm.
Oh, that’s right, it’s because its unwritten, just known.

Crims terrorise Gillen, three cops attacked
I don’t envy the police in Alice. It must be so disheartening to know that whatever they do these criminals will be back on the streets the next day with a slap on the wrist for them to do it again.
Simply go to your court case and mention your upbringing and offer a lawyer drafted apology and the judge will take pity and release you with stern words.
As we can see they are training their kids to follow in their footsteps, nice to know they will be properly training and hardened to crime by the time they are teenagers.

When 20% royalties shrivel to as little as 1%
The rich will always “accidentally” create loopholes in their policies so that they and their shady deals can prosper.
And yet even when realised they don’t get closed up, they just get mentioned and forgotten about. What an age we live in.
