Comment on ‘Cannibalising’ Vowles is childish, says CLP by NW.

@ Eli Melky: But therein lies the problem … the current mob got in purely on a protest vote, regardless of their competence, capability and experience.
The Territory’s political talent pool is not only an oxymoron but it is a rapidly diminishing puddle.
We are over-governed and as a result, the majority of the NT’s elected representatives (at all levels of government) are simply not up to the job.
Sure, some of them are – but they are few and far between.
The problem is that we expect that career union officials, long term public servants, teachers, former advisers, lawyers and sportspeople (from both sides of the political fence) with no real-world commercial business experience can run an effective government and balance the books.

Different in every sense – except when compared to the top halves of Queensland and WA. *sigh*

Let kids be kids, not turn them into puppets who are easily manipulated.

Imagine what the TOTAL cost of this project is when you factor all the public servants, politicians and councillors who have put time into it.
Time to shelve the idea and, if there is real money available (not just increasing the debt), spend it on something useful to benefit the whole town, not feel-good symbolism. Surely there are far more worthwhile things that Alice needs?
