Comment on St Francis House: Excellence sought and achieved by James.

What an inspirational series. I’m sad that it’s come to an end. My unconditional admiration goes to Father Percy Smith, Mrs Isabel Smith, the St Francis’ House boys and their mothers.

Quietly lending an ear, or saving a life
Very interesting story about a group of people who obviously render a very important service to Alice Springs and environs.
Supporting people in times of trauma is so necessary and obviously these people render this service free. This is the type of story that needs to be widely acknowledged.
Well done Canon Jeffries.

Architect of Katherine’s masterplan to be Alice council CEO
Along with Father Smith I agree with Ntharipe Observer that there are Aboriginal dignitaries who are worthy of having sites named after them in Alice Springs and environs.

Architect of Katherine’s masterplan to be Alice council CEO
There is a proposal before the Town Council and endorsed by the Deputy Chief Minister of the NT to have a park in Alice Springs named after Father Percy Smith.
Perhaps the new CEO will take this up as a matter of priority?

The Kennett tragedy
What a tragic story yet still a powerful account of human endurance. I take my hat off to Dr Riley and Father Smith.

‘I shared my mother with the Aboriginal children’
Love the picture of Millie Woodford with Albert Namatjira.
What amazing guys the St Francis House boys turned out to be!
