More spin from Territory Generation!
They announced that an upgraded power station for Alice Springs “will be complete by end of 2017” and then to shut Ron Goodin.
Now that’s happening “in the second half of 2019”.
They held an official opening of the Tennant Creek power station upgrade (with the then Minister McCarthy) in October 2017 announcing that the station would “commence operation over the next week”. Then the upgrade wasn’t ready and did not operate properly until almost 12 months later “in 2018”.
Then officially they launched the big battery in November 2018, having originally announced “the Energy Storage System is expected to be complete by late 2017″.
And now say it was online 5+ months later.
How much have these repeated delays cost the Territory?
And why does the government appointed board support such misleading announcements by the CEO?
