Comment on Is it time for a First Nations university? by Tim.

This is a very thoughtful piece. Every time that education is denied to someone there is a great opportunity cost to the individual and to society more generally.
Too often opportunities are denied not because of some deliberate or malicious action but because of inaction, limited options or the absence of aspiration.
A lack of aspiration shouldn’t be seen as a lack of effort or ability, often it can be a lack of understanding of the opportunities that are available.
Anything that makes education more accessible and opens more eyes to the option of higher education, the better.
This is a great idea and a challenging call to action for the Minister as well as Charles Darwin University.
