4-4, not bad for a first try, don’t give up …

Comment on Council: yes to protecting NT drinking water from fracking, no to declaring a climate emergency by Ian Sharp.

4-4, not bad for a first try, don’t give up Jimmy. Ride the bumps, ignore the knockers, time running out.

We won’t be there for His Royal Highness
How silly is this! How long will we put up with this nonsense of having this lot “rule over us”?

Rules for outback work travel may catch some out
A woman I knew back in the 1980s or 90s was required to drive a Landcruiser out bush alone without the knowledge or capability to change a wheel if she had a flat. Luckily it never happened.

Value of NT mineral production highest ever
In 2017-18 our mineral resource exports, including base metals, earned Australia more than $220bn (total exports exceeded $400bn for the first time).
Hard to judge (because NT figure quoted here doesn’t include oil and gas, and not all Australian production is exported) but it still seems the NT’s production value of $5bn is not much.
On the upside that indicates there is a huge potential for future exploration and development.

Federal Police uses drone to spy on tourists
Crikey! You used to be able to visit the conservation reserve and picnic at the tables and seats right near the base security gate.
Long before the new Turnback sign we used to ride from Alice to the gates and return, a good 50km workout.
A few years ago a friend of mine was on a walk with other members of the Alice Field Nats when approached about what they were doing in the conservation reserve, not taken kindly.
Who draws the boundaries, how do they get extended? Get stuck into them Erwin, more power to your arm.
