Police are seeking a man of Aboriginal appearance, about 175cm tall and medium build following an aggravated assault in Alice Springs over the weekend.
He was wearing jeans, a white shirt and a jacket.
Detective Senior Constable Sean Aila said a 26-year-old woman was walking along the northern side of Undoolya Road at around 9:00pm on Saturday when she was approached by an unknown man.
“It is alleged the man assaulted the woman near the Wills Terrace intersection. She has fled to a nearby business and contacted police.”
Police urge anyone who may recognise this man or anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
